The Chinese Government has just announced a new regulation that forces Chinese people who go to websites like eBay or Taobao to indicate their name and address. This measure is another example of the lack of Freedom there.
A new repressive Law- Users of eCommerce sites in China will have to give their real names and addresses according to a new rules introduced a few days ago by Beijing -the latest example of China's desire to strengthen his control over the Internet.
Fines for violations could be up to 10,000 yuan ($ 1,570) for users and up to 30,000 yuan for the sites, according to what was officially said.
Chinese people: the largest population of Internet users-The online business has experienced a strong growth in China which has the largest population of Internet users worldwide (over 400 million people, almost one third of the world population).
Internet china censorship- Beijing has also established an extensive system of Internet censorship, sometimes called "virtual Great Wall," which blocks access to certain sites or content which are said to be "unacceptable", whether it is pornographic or political.
One can wonder whether the measure also applies to manufacturers who still sell products without any certification or license.
