According to a study by Juniper, the Mobile Cloud market should highly grow within 4 years.
What is Mobile Cloud Computing- The Mobile Cloud Computing is actually an infrastructure in which data storage and data processing occur outside of the mobile device from which an application is launched. For the typical consumer, a cloud-based mobile application looks and behaves like any application purchased or downloaded from a seller of mobile applications such as iTunes. However, the app is driven from the "cloud", not the handheld itself. There are already some well-known Apps cloud mobile such as Gmail and Google Voice for iPhone.
An exceptional growth expected- But, what could be amazing for Mobile Cloud is its future growth if we believe the latest study from Juniper Research. The market for cloud based mobile applications will increase 88% from 2009 to 2014, according to this research. The market was just over 400 million dollars last year, said Juniper, but in 2014 it will reach 9.5 billion dollars. The adoption of the new website HTML5 standard should drive this growth, enhanced mobile broadband coverage and the need for continuity of services for business collaboration.
Companies: a driving force behind the place- According to Juniper, companies should be a major force behind to move the cloud. 75% of cloud-based mobile marketing will be on business demand, the report noticed. Mobile enterprise applications enable users to access corporate data, shared files, to collaborate on projects and more via their smartphones. This activity should finance the growth and the development of cloud-based mobile app marketplace. But, although the company will fuel this growth, consumer-oriented apps should be more and more important too.
What is interesting about Juniper's study- 9.5 billion dollars for the marketplace in 2014 - is clearly corresponds with other analysis on mobile business application. Earlier this year, Gartner researchers have estimated that companies App Store would generate nearly $ 7 billion this year and should reach 29.5 billion dollars by 2013. ABC Research has predicted similar trends too. Assumingly, it should increase even more in 2014 when the clouds moving with the market demand is expected to nearly 9.5 billion dollars.
